Job Description

Our client, a healthcare facility in Zanesville, is searching for Housekeepers to join their team! This is a temp to hire position with benefits upon permanent hire. Hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm, 5 days per week. Must be able to work every other weekend.

Summary:
Performs a variety of cleaning tasks in an orderly and timely fashion as not to disrupt patients, employees or public. Demonstrates competency in standard precautions, safety standards, and time and motion efficiencies to maintain safe, clean, aesthetically pleasing areas.

Essential Duties:
1. Uses and maintains cleaning equipment properly and safely.
2. Performs all cleaning tasks and floor maintenance according to industry standards including isolation cleaning, while adhering to infection control standards.
3. Knowledge, usage and handling of all cleaning agents in a safe way using proper personal protective equipment.
4. Handles all linen according to procedures and usage.
5. Maintains privacy and confidentiality at all times
6. Participates in mandatory in-service meetings (e.g. TB testing, safety, HIPAA)
7. Speaks to patients and co-workers in a respectful manner.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively verbally or in writing to assure job is completed (read, write).
2. Ability to understand and learn cleaning industry standards and operating procedures.
3. Must meet drug screen and criminal background check requirements.
.4. Must be willing to obtain a TB test and a seasonal flu shot.
