Talent Acquisition Specialist (Cleveland)
Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will recruit skilled landscaping and design-build field workers. This role requires strong sourcing skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish to attract and engage candidates for outdoor labor, construction, and design-build positions. You will manage the full recruitment cycle and ensure a positive candidate experience while supporting workforce growth in a fast-paced, seasonal industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle recruiting for landscaping and design-build roles
- Manage the entire recruitment process from job posting to onboarding.
- Conduct initial screenings, schedule interviews, and facilitate hiring decisions.
- Ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the process.
Job postings & outreach
- Draft clear, engaging bilingual job ads tailored to the target audience.
- Post openings on major job boards, social media platforms, and local community sites.
- Monitor ad performance and adjust strategies to maximize reach.
Pipeline development
- Build and maintain relationships with local workforce agencies and trade schools.
- Network within Spanish-speaking communities to attract qualified candidates.
- Develop referral programs to encourage employee participation in recruiting.
Compliance
- Ensure all hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting requirements.
- Stay current on safety standards and integrate them into recruitment practices.
Candidate experience
- Provide clear explanations of job expectations, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Offer support during onboarding and answer candidate questions promptly.
- Gather feedback from new hires to improve the recruitment process.
Seasonal workforce planning
- Forecast staffing needs for peak landscaping seasons.
- Coordinate with operations to align hiring timelines with project schedules.
- Develop strategies for rapid ramp-up and retention during high-demand periods.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or skilled trades recruitment.
- Strong sourcing and networking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requisitions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience recruiting hourly field workers.
- Familiarity with seasonal hiring strategies.
- Strong community networking skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
