Scheduling Coordinator

Nova Home Health Services is seeking a detailed, oriented individual with great communication skills. Experience with Homecare client scheduling is preferred. But will train the right person.

Job Description:
Performs clerical/scheduling activities that facilitate agency operations. These activities include coordination of employee schedules with client wants/needs and communication with referral sources.

Qualifications:

High school graduated: advanced education desirable. Current staffing experience, preferably with a homecare agency or in home health. Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Computer literate a must. Demonstrates time management, organizational skills, and the ability to function with minimal direction.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains schedule for services requested and provided to agency clients.
• Assures that cases are filled within established time frames.
• Responds to emergency calls and arranges schedule accordingly
• Provides direction to direct care employees and communicates with manager as needed to assure safe and effective coverage of clients needs.
• Assigns agency staff to clients as directed by the licensed professional staff, careplan and service request.
• Assures direct care workers receive complete and accurate directions and information about client needs.
• Reports any scheduling changes and/or clients concerns to client Case Manager and notify client oof any changes to their schedule.
• Participates in the evaluation and performance review of direct care workers.
• Verify time record with schedules.
• Participates in determining hiring needs.
• Assures compliance with applicable state, feral, CHAP, and Joint Commission standards.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
