Job Overview: The Landscape Construction Laborer will assist in various aspects of landscape construction projects, including hardscaping, planting, and site preparation. This role requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with landscaping tools and equipment, a strong work ethic, and a passion for outdoor work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the construction of hardscapes, including patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other outdoor structures.
• Prepare and level soil for planting, laying sod, and installing irrigation systems.
• Load, unload, and transport materials such as soil, mulch, stone, and plants.
• Install fences, gates, and other outdoor features as directed.
• Operate landscaping equipment, such as lawnmowers, backhoes, and power tools, under supervision.
• Dig trenches, holes, and other necessary excavation tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site by removing debris and cleaning tools and equipment.
• Work alongside other crew members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscape construction, general labor, or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., shovel, rake, wheelbarrow, power tools).
• Basic knowledge of construction techniques and landscape design principles.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
