Manufacturing Operator (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: 3840 Fishcreek Road, Stow, OH 44224
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr (W2)
Duration: 3 Months Contract with Possible Extension / Temp-to-Hire

Shift Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Training will be on 1st shift only)
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Temp-to-hire opportunities available after 90 days)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operator to perform routine production tasks for new or existing products according to standardized procedures and work instructions. This role involves supporting production and pilot-scale operations, including weighing, mixing, forming, and drying materials while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform production and pilot-scale activities such as weighing, mixing, forming, and drying during the manufacturing process.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic production documentation .
• Submit and test product samples in the ERP quality system, and support sample shipments to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards.
• Operate forklift safely and maintain current certification.
• Perform simple and routine maintenance functions (cleaning, basic assembly, etc.) on machinery under supervision.
• Participate in safety meetings and comply with all regulatory and company policies .
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required); Technical school or some college (Preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience (Preferred).
• Forklift License: Required – must maintain valid certification.
• Technical Skills:
• • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Comfortable learning ERP or related computer applications.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform intermediate math operations including decimals, fractions, and S.I. units.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong hands-on mechanical understanding.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication; able to collaborate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.

Comments / Special Instructions

• Training will take place on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) .
• Temp-to-hire opportunities available for both 1st and 2nd shifts after the initial 90-day period.
