Mission: The Manufacturing Manager – Bobst Asitrade Machine Expert provides leadership to the supervisory team, production work teams and is a member of the site leadership team reporting to the Operations Manager. Manager facilitates department meetings, intervenes as necessary to drive goals and results consistent with company direction, and works with the supervisory team members to develop their full potential. The Manufacturing Manager, in conjunction with the team, is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, equipment condition, and housekeeping. Job Functions: Manages and facilitates the long-term goals of the department. Utilizes knowledge and experience, providing training to supervision. Responsible for their individual performance. Oversees scheduling, material handling issues and maintenance, as well as resolving production problems related to the Bobst MasterFlute Asitrade machinery. Helps department achieve goals and has responsibility for personnel issues, including required discipline.

• Requires technical proficiency and understanding of the machinery in the department.
• Provides a communication network between direct reports and upper management.
• Works with all employees to maintain a safe work environment. Encourages and leads department to work in a safe manner and to seek improvement in work practices for their benefit. Develops and implements safety procedures and policies with the EH&S Manager in achieving departmental and plant safety goals.
• Assures that the department maintains quality standards and uses key techniques for problem resolution through knowledge of product specifications and training of personnel.
• Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards, and is directly accountable for expenditures exceeding budgeted levels.
• Aids the team in problem resolution and assures that testing and product development is carried out in a professional manner.
• Works effectively with other department managers to resolve issues and coordinate efforts to achieve stated goals.
• Must provide leadership in full support of GPI’s Mission, Vision and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
• Must provide leadership and be fully supportive of all GPI efforts for LEAN, 5’s, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.
• Directly involved in responsibilities/actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs.
• Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting food safety requirements.
• Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting customer quality requirements.
• Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5S and other company standards.

• The Manufacturing Manager – Bobst MasterFlute Asitrade Expert must be a leader with exceptional communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to motivate employees to perform at high levels.
• 7+ Years of Equipment-direct experience operating, maintenance, and technical process optimization knowledge of Bobst MasterFlute Asitrade machinery is required.
• Must have a solid foundational knowledge of Bobst MasterFlute Asitrade machinery, its capabilities, production capacity, and throughput.
• Equipment-direct experience in the folding carton industry is preferred.
