Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future. **The Role** We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management - Digital Experience & Platform to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Lumen's digital engagement platform - the cornerstone for how our customers explore, learn, buy, deploy, and operate Lumen's portfolio of digital network services. This leader will drive an integrated digital strategy that spans customer experience, platform enablement, APIs, and edge products - ensuring Lumen delivers a frictionless, intelligent, and connected digital journey across every touchpoint. In this role, you will oversee product leadership for: **Lumen's Digital Platform and Portal:** The unified digital front door through which customers engage with Lumen products and services. **API Strategy (Internal and External):** The foundational layer enabling automation, partner integration, and marketplace distribution. **Edge Portfolio:** Lumen's edge offerings, bringing digital compute capabilities and network services together. This is a high-impact leadership position requiring strategic and technical depth, cross-organizational influence, and a strong sense of customer empathy. The ideal candidate blends enterprise platform experience with modern digital product thinking - driving measurable improvements in customer experience, speed to market, and business growth. **The Main Responsibilities** **Digital Platform & Experience** + Define and deliver the vision for Lumen's digital experience, encompassing customer journey, product discovery, purchasing, deployment, and lifecycle operations. + Build and evolve the Lumen digital portal as a unified, data-driven, and self-service interface for customers and partners. + Partner with design, engineering, and marketing to create an intuitive, seamless, and high-performing digital experience that differentiates Lumen in the market. + Establish KPIs and analytics frameworks to measure engagement, conversion, retention, and satisfaction across the digital funnel. **API Platform & Marketplace Enablement** + Own the strategy and roadmap for Lumen's API ecosystem, enabling internal and external developers to consume Lumen services securely and efficiently. + Drive integration of Lumen products into third-party marketplaces (e.g., hyperscalers, cloud exchanges, data center partners). + Champion an API-first mindset across product and engineering teams to ensure consistent, reusable, and monetizable service exposure. + Collaborate with security and architecture to ensure best-in-class API reliability, performance, and compliance. **Edge Portfolio Leadership** + Lead product strategy and lifecycle management for Lumen's edge services, aligning with market trends and customer demand. + Ensure edge products are seamlessly integrated into the digital and API platforms for ease of discovery, provisioning, and management. + Partner with sales and marketing to position Lumen Edge as a key differentiator in enabling AI, IoT, and next-generation workloads. **Leadership & Culture** + Build, mentor, and empower a diverse, high-performing product management organization across the digital, API, and edge domains. + Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, operations, and corporate strategy to ensure delivery excellence and alignment with company goals. + Lead with curiosity and courage, modeling the Lumen8 cultural behaviors of teamwork, trust, transparency, clarity, customer obsession, and growth mindset. **What We Look For in a Candidate** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA or Masters preferred. + 15+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing API platforms or developer products in telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS environments. + Demonstrated experience in architecting and delivering modern digital experience platforms and cloud-based service delivery models, with a proven ability to scale solutions for enterprise environments and drive measurable improvements in customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business growth. + Proven success in building and scaling API ecosystems. + Deep understanding of API technologies (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), security (OAuth, JWT), and developer tools. + Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical capabilities with customer and market needs. + Experience working with senior-level executives and ability to influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization + Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively understand complex problems, prioritize business and customer needs **Compensation** This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges $196,880 - $262,500 in all states.
