HR Generalist - Evening/Night Shift

Primary Purpose:

Provide comprehensive HR support to night shift operations, ensuring smooth execution of policies, procedures, and employee relations. This role is critical in aligning people, compliance, and resources to meet organizational goals while fostering a safe, fair, and supportive workplace.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Employee Support : Serve as the primary HR contact for night shift employees, addressing questions, concerns, and workplace issues.
• Recruitment & Onboarding : Assist with candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding processes to ensure timely staffing for production needs.
• Policy & Compliance : Ensure adherence to HR policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, including USDA and company guidelines.
• Time & Attendance : Manage Kronos and Oracle HCM entries, including time‑off requests, attendance tracking, and shift adjustments.
• Training & Development : Support completion of safety certifications, compliance training, and employee development programs.
• Employee Relations : Partner with supervisors to resolve conflicts, coach leaders on HR best practices, and promote a positive work environment.
• Reporting & Metrics : Track HR metrics for turnover, attendance, and training completion, providing insights to management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of HR experience in manufacturing, food production, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and employee relations.
• Experience with Kronos and Oracle HCM systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
