  • Train on forklift usage in the future and operate equipment safely once trained, if required.
  • Use basic mechanical aptitude to assist with simple maintenance tasks on machines when needed.
  • Read and follow batch mixing instructions and recipes accurately to support production processes.
  • Record information legibly and use basic math skills, including decimals and fractions, to complete production and quality checks.
  • Adhere to all facility rules regarding uniforms, PPE, and restrictions on jewelry and accessories.
  • Navigate multiple levels within the facility, including frequent stair use and walking between production areas.
Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with machine operating in batch or recipe-driven processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures and safety guidelines in a production setting.
  • Comfort working with dry powdered food products and awareness of potential food allergy considerations.
  • Strong attention to detail for verifying product condition, weights, and accurate recording of lot and bag numbers.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift and adapt to future scheduling changes, including 8-hour rotating shifts.
  • Comfort wearing required uniforms and personal protective equipment, including steel-toe boots.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.
Why Work Here?

You join a stable food manufacturing operation that offers structured pay, regular bi-weekly compensation once hired directly, and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits begin after a short waiting period and include medical coverage, a 401(k) plan with a competitive company match, and paid vacation, sick, and personal time. The company provides and cleans uniforms, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses and helping you stay focused on your work. As the facility grows and scheduling evolves, you gain opportunities to secure steady hours and long-term employment in an environment that values safety, consistency, and dependable team members.

Work Environment

You work in a large, older-style brick manufacturing building with additional production locations across the street. The facility produces dry powdered food items in a food-grade, GMP-required environment. Some areas of the plant can be hot, while the mixing area is air-conditioned. The role involves frequent stair use, walking between areas, and working in confined spaces and at heights on catwalks. Production currently runs on 12-hour shifts with a need for flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift, and the schedule will transition to typical 8-hour shifts (approximately 8–4, 4–12, and 12–8). The facility enforces strict GMP requirements: uniforms must be worn at all times, and no jewelry, fake nails, fake eyelashes, chains, watches, or rings are allowed to prevent contamination. Steel-toe boots that cover above the ankle are required from the first day. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, food safety, and adherence to detailed procedures in a busy production setting.
