Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing billing processes, ensuring accurate cash applications, and overseeing commercial collections. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain precise financial records. Responsibilities: - Process and manage accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently. - Handle commercial collections by communicating with clients to resolve outstanding balances. - Apply payments to customer accounts while ensuring proper allocation and documentation. - Generate and distribute invoices in a timely manner. - Maintain detailed and organized financial records related to receivables. - Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts. - Collaborate with other departments to address billing discrepancies. - Assist in preparing reports related to accounts receivable activities. - Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency. - Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role. - Familiarity with commercial collections and cash application processes. - Strong knowledge of billing functions and financial record-keeping. - Proficiency in using accounting software and tools. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Understanding of financial policies and compliance standards.
