Job Summary:

This position is responsible for using metal components to fabricate a variety of equipment and products. Welders prepare parts for builders and clean finished products after shipment. Welders must be able to read and understand build documents and drawings for fabrication. Welders are assigned to a specific area in the manufacturing plant but may also work with other departments. Welders may perform other tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• TIG and MIG weld metal components together
• Prepare parts for builders
• Work with build documents and basic drawings
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace/shop
• Clean finished products
• Deburr and silicon materials
• Peel paper

Experience and Education:

• High School or GED
• 1 - 3 months related experience and/or training

Position Requirements:

• Knowledge of proper welding techniques, such as TIG and MIG welding
• Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
• Ability to add and subtract fractions
• Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed
• Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work
