Beautiful Blooms by Jen is a top-rated florist in Sylvania, OH, specializing in weddings, events, and custom arrangements. We're seeking an experienced floral designer with a passion for creative work and beautiful spaces to join our team. This is a part-time position (required 20-30 hours/week) starting at $17/hour plus tips, with mentorship and management-track opportunities for career advancement.

As a Senior Floral Design Associate, you'll work in all aspects of the business—creating stunning arrangements, assisting customers during consultations, processing orders, and maintaining our shop environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the shop floor collaborating with the team.

Key Duties and Deliverables

• Create high-quality floral arrangements for retail, events, and special orders
• Provide excellent customer service during consultations and walk-in sales
• Assist with inventory management, vendor orders, and shop organization
• Support opening/closing procedures and maintain shop presentation standards
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, creative environment

Schedule

• Full-time hourly position, expected five days per week during business hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30 am–5:30 pm, and Saturday 10:00 am–2:00 pm. (Final schedule to be set upon hire.)
• Regular weekend availability is expected.
• Occasional overtime during peak seasons and special events.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years professional florist experience (production, design, event, or retail)
• Event or wedding floral experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable team player with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
• Proficient with email, internet, Apple OS, MS Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets)
• Must be willing to commute to Sylvania, Ohio
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Driver's License and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced, high-end, or luxury floral design background
• Retail, sales, or customer-facing experience
• Interest in or exposure to inventory management, vendor relations, budgeting, or cost control
• Experience mentoring, training, or supporting team members
• Social media or digital marketing familiarity
