Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required. License: Must obtain required license before contract begins. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be able to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting assignment. Description: This position requires a focus on patient care in a Progressive Care Unit. The nurse must have experience in telemetry monitoring and managing patients with complex health issues. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with floating to other specialty areas as needed. Availability to work every other weekend and holiday is a must. This role requires proficiency in using Electronic Health Records system for patient documentation. Knowledge of various patient care skills including but not limited to: cardiac telemetry, management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and post-operative care is essential. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients with a range of diagnoses. Must be prepared to manage patients requiring respiratory support and other advanced medical care procedures. Candidates should be skilled in interpreting dysrhythmias and administering emergency treatments as necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment are critical for success in this role. The position may involve performing lab work and passing requisite examinations within the specified time frame.
