Seasonal/Part-Time Teacher

Hours : Shift hours will be 5 hours daily, equal to 25 hours weekly. This is also seasonal throughout the school year, following West Clermont School Districts calendar.

Preferred candidates will:

• Relate positively with young children and families
• Be passionate about providing quality care and learning opportunities as well as a safe environment for young children
• Work cooperatively with other team members
• Love children and wish to work in a team-oriented environment
• Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency

Child Focus is seeking dedicated early childhood professionals to serve as a Seasonal/Part-Time Teacher in a Preschool aged classroom implementing a research-based curriculum.

Duties include:

• Maintenance of classroom and environment.
• Engaging with children and fostering learning and growth. Maintaining good relationships and communication with families.
• Implement Creative Curriculum for Preschool with fidelity and utilize Conscious Discipline strategies and works with asst. teacher to develop and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Use strategies for behavior management
• Integrate IEP’s or Behavior Action Plans for children with diagnosed or suspected special needs

Requirements

Degree Required: ??An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood is required, Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood preferred. Minimum of 1-year experience working in professional classroom setting for children ages 3-5, 2 years’ experience preferred. Head Start or Early Head experience preferred.?
