Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work within regular operating hours
- Must meet Ohio state criteria for child care employment
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Teacher , you will work side-by-side with lead teachers and families to provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment, following NAEYC-aligned best practices . Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years
- Assisting teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities
- Maintaining a warm, clean, and safe classroom environment that supports growth and exploration
- Interacting with children to encourage participation, creativity, and learning through play
- Decorating classrooms and learning spaces as needed
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s daily activities and progress
