Location: Cleveland, OH (Main Campus Hospital)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Critical Care/ICU Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess at least 18 months of recent critical care or ICU experience, with an emphasis on providing compassionate and effective patient care. The Critical Care Nurse will be responsible for managing patients with severe or life-threatening conditions and will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing advanced technology and equipment.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge processes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Critical Care or ICU prior to travel assignments.
• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is highly desirable.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work every other holiday.
• Traveler must have no open background cases and no license discipline.
• Must be nicotine-free (with specific exemptions for nurses and CSTs).
• Completion of BCI/FBI prints within 48 hours of signing the contract.
• Must be available for badge pick-up and fingerprinting onsite.
