Job Description

An employer is seeking a contract Snowflake Data Architect for a short term architecture project. The Data and analytics organization is on the fourth year of our data and analytics journey. We have already implemented Snowflake and satisfied our goals for 2024. We are seeking a contract-based Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of Snowflake-based data infrastructure and Python-driven pipelines, supporting mission-critical banking operations such as regulatory reporting, and credit risk analytics.

Skills and Requirements

· Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture in Azure (storage, compute, virtual warehouses).

· Experience using built-in data movement architectures within snowflake and using unified data model architecture around snowflake

· Expertise with Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Materialized Views, Snowflake SQL, and performance optimization.

· Strong data engineering experience using Pandas, NumPy, and Snowflake Python Connector.

· Experience integrating Python scripts in orchestrated workflows.

Banking or financial compliance knowledge · Familiarity with financial data (transactions, balances, credit/risk models)

· Familiarity with Cortex AI
