As a Cook at Legacy Living Defiance, you will play a vital role in the culinary care of our residents by preparing and serving meals that align with departmental policies and state and federal regulations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that food is both palatable and visually appealing, prepared in appropriate quantities, and served at the correct temperatures. In addition to tasting food for optimal flavor and consistency, you will supervise kitchen staff, guiding them in food preparation, tray assembly, cleaning, and the proper storage of supplies. Maintaining a clean and organized work area during food service and preparation is essential, as is using food supplies and equipment efficiently to minimize waste.
