Medical Scheduler — Hematology/Oncology (Massillon & Dover)
Full-time · On-site (primary home base at either location; occasional cross-coverage as needed)
About us
Tri County Hematology & Oncology is a fast-paced, patient-focused practice. We’re expanding our Scheduling team and looking for a polished multitasker who thrives in a busy clinical setting.
What you’ll do
- Manage the full scheduling cycle: check-in → rooming coordination → check-out/follow-ups
- Verify insurance & demographics ; capture/refine authorizations and referral requirements as needed
- Schedule outpatient testing (imaging, procedures, labs) across multiple departments and hospitals; confirm prep instructions and paperwork
- Maintain full, efficient provider and infusion schedules; manage waitlists, add-ons, and same-day changes
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, nursing, lab, and billing; document all actions in the EHR
- Protect PHI and follow HIPAA and practice policies at all times
What you bring
- Medical scheduling experience required (multi-provider, high volume)
- Comfortable navigating hospital/health-system portals for test/procedure scheduling
- Tech confident: EHR, phone system, email; OncoEMR/Centricity experience a plus
- Organized, energetic, pleasant, and a true team player with excellent phone etiquette
- Calm under pressure; strong attention to detail and follow-through
Nice to have
- Oncology/infusion clinic experience
- Prior work/procedure scheduling templates
Schedule & location
- Monday–Friday, daytime hours 8:30-5pm
- Roles available in Massillon and Dover ; occasional cross-coverage between sites
