Lead Maintenance Technician

Location: Akron, OH
Shift: 2nd (Tuesday through Saturday 2 pm to 10:15 pm {Saturdays are a must})
Salary: up to $35 an hour based on experience

Job duties

• Work with 480 vac 3-phase and lower voltages.
• Reworking and installation of electrical wiring for equipment, per NEC guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty electrical components such as relays, fuses, power supplies, switches, motors and position sensing devices, machinery controls, etc.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system
• Identify equipment concerns relating to the product, process and quality system
• Troubleshoot industrial machinery, PLC's, and drives
• Basic welding and fabrication
• Performs routine preventative maintenance and ensures that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Diagnosing and maintaining mechanical systems, equipment and electrical controls is essential.
• Follows company safety & quality policies and procedures.
• Repairs on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Provide guidance and direction with maintenance associates
• Utilize CMMS for PM's & work orders
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Electrical & mechanical background
• Leadership background in maintenance field
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system
• Identify equipment concerns relating to the product, process and quality system
• Troubleshoot industrial machinery, PLC's, and drives
• Basic welding and fabrication
• High School or GED
• Trade School or associate degree, or relevant electrical experience
