Pay Grade/Pay Rate: Pay Grade: 7 Pay Rate $19.42 Per Hour

Employment Status: Full-time

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as staff assistant to the Ashtabula County Land Reutilization Corporation, answers telephone, directs calls, takes messages, manages calendar, schedules meetings; provides assistance to the general public by answering

telephones/walk-ins; Responds to emails, prepares and proofreads correspondence and reports as instructed; sorts records and forms in alphabetical, numerical, and chronological order; files indexes, retrieves and reproduces forms and other documents; transfers information from one form or document to another; maintain Land Bank office files; processes and distributes mail, faxes etc.

Assists in maintaining County Land bank grant records; monitors and records receipt and expenditure of grant funds; prepares and submits performance reports to granting agencies; performs necessary grant close out procedures; maintains financial records in Quick Books; Responds to voicemails and emails, prepares deed requests for property transfer.

Prepares various documents related to the Land bank (e.g., preparation of deeds); transfers and records deeds; retains, updates, and electronically files office records; prepares agenda and takes minutes at monthly board meetings.

Cashiering and acting as backup cashier when necessary. Check scanning and daily posting. Treasurer's Office mail processing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED) with coursework in office practice and procedures and word processing; five (5) or more years of training and/or experience in an administrative or clerical support position; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. Notary Preferred
