Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Eastlake, Ohio. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial processes, timely invoicing, and effective communication with customers regarding outstanding balances. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Process incoming customer purchase orders, ensuring project folders are created and all related documentation is organized. - Collaborate with the Sales team to verify pricing, terms, and milestones align with customer agreements. - Schedule and participate in commercial meetings to review project details thoroughly. - Upload financial budgets and labor hours into the appropriate systems to support project scheduling and tracking. - Manage change orders by updating documentation and ensuring all necessary adjustments are implemented. - Generate and distribute regular reports, including capacity updates and backlog reconciliations. - Prepare and issue project invoices, while following up on overdue accounts receivable to ensure prompt payment. - Maintain accurate records of incoming purchase orders and closed projects to support financial transparency. - Act as a liaison between customers and various departments, addressing inquiries and fostering collaboration. - Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the finance team. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections. - Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills with demonstrated attention to detail. - Experience managing commercial billing functions and reconciling financial records. - Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and reliability. - Excellent communication skills to professionally handle customer inquiries and collaborate across departments. - Familiarity with financial systems, such as Acumatica, is preferred. - Capability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data. - Previous experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment is a plus.
