Controller (Hybrid Remote - Manufacturing)

We are a growing small-to-mid-sized manufacturing company based in Columbus, Ohio. Our focus is on quality, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead our finance and accounting operations. This role offers a hybrid remote schedule, blending flexibility with on-site collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting to support executive decision-making.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Manage inventory accounting and standard costing processes unique to manufacturing operations.
- Supervise and mentor a small accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professional development.
- Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership to align financial data with operational goals.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to support audits, compliance, and tax filings.
- Hybrid schedule: Approximately 3 days per week on-site in Columbus, 2 days remote.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;
- CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
- 5 + years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or cost accounting environment.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and ERP systems (experience with Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite preferred).
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing accounting teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to drive process improvements and support strategic growth initiatives.
