Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219, USA
Duration: 8 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3x12 Hours
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a Float Pool travel assignment. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple units in a dynamic hospital environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment
- Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and educational assessments
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the care team
- Utilize standardized communication tools such as SBAR for effective handoffs
- Identify and mitigate patient safety risks
Care Planning & Coordination
- Develop, implement, and prioritize individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Establish measurable goals and adjust care plans as needed
- Initiate discharge planning and coordinate appropriate referrals
Care Delivery
- Provide evidence-based nursing care in accordance with established standards
- Administer treatments and delegate tasks appropriately
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management
- Respond effectively to emergency and critical situations
- Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols
Evaluation & Documentation
- Continuously evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care accordingly
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Apply best practices to improve patient care quality
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Ohio or Compact State)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Diploma in Nursing (minimum requirement)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a float pool environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in acute care settings preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior travel nursing or float pool experience
