What we need:
We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the Construction Coordinator (Natural Resources Administrator 1) within the Division of Engineering headquartered at Fountain Square main campus in Franklin County. The address is 2045 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
What you will do...
- Acts as specialist for the Division of Engineering (DOE) by assisting division staff with statewide capital construction projects
- Coordinates statewide purchasing projects for the Division of Engineering
- Processes invoices & maintain budgetary control relative to impact of change orders (i.e., increase &/or decrease in amount specified in contract or purchase order)
- Monitors & assists in all aspects of the bid process to accomplish completion within scheduled deadlines (e.g., coordinates bid date, prepares legal advertisements for publication in newspaper & on DOE & other State Agency websites)
The Natural Resources specialty for this position is architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental science or agricultural science.
May require statewide travel and may be expected to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
Starting hourly pay of $32.35/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $46.09/hr.
There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees | Department of Administrative Services.

48 mos. trg. or 48 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty ( architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental science or agricultural science) AND valid driver’s license.
- Or undergraduate major core program & 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty ( architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental science or agricultural science) AND valid driver’s license.
- Or completion of graduate major core program & 12 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty ( architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental science or agricultural science) AND valid driver’s license.
- Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
