Your role
Position Summary
The Shipper/Receiver handles the movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within the beverage plant warehouse. Responsibilities include staging, loading, unloading, documentation, SAP transactions, and ensuring materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately and safely. Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Production Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely.
- Receive inbound materials; verify counts, condition, COAs, and documentation.
- Perform SAP transactions (receiving, issuing, staging, consumption, shipping).
- Pick and stage materials for production—no excuses, accuracy matters.
- Generate and complete required paperwork: BOM pulls, BOLs, load sheets, inventory forms.
- Load and unload trailers per industry and Symrise guidelines.
- Confirm proper lot tracking and storage location for all materials.
- Conduct basic inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and GMP compliance.
- Communicate issues immediately: shortages, damage, incorrect materials, documentation problems.
- Support safety expectations: proper PPE, safe forklift operation, compliance with traffic lanes.

- Good communicator; asks questions when things don’t add up.
- Solid time management—keeps trucks moving and staging tight.
- Team-oriented; willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Safety/Regulatory Training Requirements
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials
Working Conditions
- Warehouse and dock environment with forklifts, trailers, cold storage, and foot traffic.
- Noise, temperature swings, dust, and repetitive movement.
- Must be available for assigned shifts, occasional overtime, and weekend work.
About you
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of warehouse or shipping/receiving preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Basic computer ability; SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in refrigerated / ambient environments.
- Able to read and understand documentation (BOL, COA, BOM, lot codes).
