CNC Machinist Operator

$23–$32/hour | Shift Differentials Available

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Operator to join a growing, collaborative team in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who enjoys precision work in a job shop setting , where quality and craftsmanship matter more than production volume.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll operate and support CNC machining equipment to manufacture high-quality parts that meet exact customer specifications and strict tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or grinders to produce precision parts
• Perform full machine setups, tooling changes, and changeovers
• Edit programs using G & M codes
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Maintain tight tolerances of ±0.001 inches
• Work in a job shop environment where parts may take days to complete, not high-volume production

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)

• 3–6 years of hands-on CNC machining experience
• Strong experience with machine setup and tooling changes
• Ability to edit programs using G & M codes
• Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Job shop experience (custom or low-volume machining)
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances (±0.001”)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

• Experience with MasterCAM and/or SolidWorks
• Ability to operate both CNC mills and lathes
• Familiarity with GD&T
• Experience with drill presses, grinders, and press brakes
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Programming experience

Shifts & Pay Differentials

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Voluntary weekend overtime available

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Blue Ash, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
