Compressor Technician - Rebuild Shop

Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $28.00/hr. to $35.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

We currently have an exciting opportunity at our West Chester location for a hands-on, mechanically driven Air End Rebuild / Shop Technician. If you enjoy digging into equipment, solving complex problems, and bringing critical machinery back to life, this role is for you.

In this position, you'll take the lead in tearing down, analyzing, and rebuilding industrial compressor air ends, playing a key role in restoring performance, reliability, and customer confidence. You'll work in a fast-paced shop environment where precision, craftsmanship, and teamwork drive success. Every rebuild is an opportunity to diagnose, improve, and make it better than before.

What You'll Do:

• Perform tear-down, inspection, and root cause failure analysis of compressor air ends
• Clean, de-burr, polish, and restore rotors, cylinders, and end plates
• Reassemble compressor air ends to OEM specifications and tolerances
• Operate precision measurement tools to verify component integrity and specifications
• Complete work orders, inspection reports, and rebuild documentation
• Prepare parts lists and estimate repair times
• Identify potential mechanical or process issues and take corrective action
• Support shop operations including equipment maintenance, rentals, and general shop duties
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement, quality standards, and shop efficiency

What You'll Need:

• 2+ years of mechanical, industrial, or compressor repair experience
• Experience with rotating equipment, compressors, pumps, or gearboxes
• Technical school or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
• Standing, bending, and working with mechanical equipment for extended periods
• Exposure to noise, oils, and industrial conditions
• The ability to work productively with other associates, customers, and vendors; a “team attitude.”
• A commitment to the concept of “doing it right the first time.”
