ConnectM is a fast-growing constellation of companies connecting and powering next-generation equipment, mobility, and distributed energy — accelerating the transition to a modern energy economy. Through our division Aurai LLC, we bring Keen Heat Pumps to market via a disruptive, technology-driven channel model that cuts out legacy distributors and puts high-efficiency heat pumps directly in the hands of HVAC and solar contractors.

We have partnered with Greentech Renewables (GTR), a national solar services network operating in 25+ U.S. markets, to embed Keen Heat Pump solutions across their branch locations. Think of it as the Tesla Direct Sales model for heat pumps — we train, activate, and expand GTR sites to sell and install Keen equipment, driving recurring revenue at each location while creating an unstoppable growth flywheel.

The Northeast is already proving the model. We are now recruiting channel builders for the rest of the country.

The Opportunity

This is a ground-floor, high-upside field sales and channel development role. You will own your geographic territory end-to-end — recruiting HVAC and plumbing contractors, activating Greentech branch managers, training sales teams, and personally driving Keen Heat Pump volume through your network.

The analogy: think of yourself as a franchise area developer. Every contractor you activate and every GTR branch you turn on becomes a self-sustaining revenue node. Your income scales directly with the size of the network you build.

Candidates should apply for the territory matching their existing distributor, contractor, or HVAC trade relationships. Prior relationships in your region are a significant advantage.

What You Will Do

  • Recruit, onboard, and activate HVAC and plumbing contractors into the Keen Heat Pump distributor network
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with HVAC distributors, Greentech branch managers, and solar contractors
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training on product knowledge, value-based selling, rebates/incentives, and proposal creation
  • Conduct contractor ride-alongs, jobsite visits, and product demonstrations
  • Track contractor purchasing volumes and engagement activity; provide regular pipeline reporting
  • Co-sell alongside Greentech solar reps to bundle heat pumps into every solar PV proposal
  • Disrupt legacy HVAC wholesale distribution by introducing contractors to the Keen direct-supply model
  • Support Keen Labs training platform adoption (tools.keenhomepro.com) across your territory
  • Work directly with ConnectM leadership on territory strategy, forecasting, and execution

The ideal candidates has lived and breathed HVAC channel sales. You are equally comfortable at the supply counter, in a contractor's truck, on a jobsite, or in a branch manager's office. You do not just sell — you build systems that allow others to sell better. You are data-driven, coachable, and genuinely passionate about electrification.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in HVAC sales, HVAC distribution, or related channel/trade sales
  • Demonstrated track record of recruiting and activating contractor or dealer networks
  • Hands-on experience with distributor relationships and channel inventory dynamics
  • Ability to train and coach others on technical products and sales methodology
  • Strong field presence — comfortable being in the market 4–5 days per week
  • Existing HVAC contractor or distributor relationships in target territory (highly preferred)

Bonus Points

  • Experience with heat pumps, electrification products, or renewable energy (solar, storage)
  • Background at an HVAC wholesaler, manufacturer's rep, or multi-branch distributor
  • Comfort with CRM, AI sales tools, and data-driven performance tracking
  • History of growing a territory from scratch or turning around an underperforming market

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000 / year, paid weekly
  • Ramp Guarantee: $100,000 guaranteed (annualized) for first 6 months as a recoverable draw
  • Commission: 2% of verified distributor purchases from trained contractor accounts AND 2% for new Distributor accounts.
  • Activation Bonuses: $250 per CED/Greentech contractor first order
  • Commission Timing: Paid quarterly (monthly payout available during ramp); annual year-end true-up
  • Expenses: Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate; pre-approved travel, lodging, and meals covered
  • Health Insurance: BCBSMA — company pays 70% of premium; optional dental & vision pre-tax
  • 401(k): 3% employer match
  • PTO: 80 hours (years 1–3), scaling to 160 hours (7+ years); 40 hours paid medical leave- Holidays: 6 paid holidays + day after Thanksgiving
  • Disability / AD&D: Short-term disability and accidental death insurance at no cost.
