Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping Coordinator to coordinate outbound shipments from our manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all products are packaged, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping/receiving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) Coordinate all outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing bills of lading, and ensuring compliance with customer and carrier requirements. Ensure all orders are properly packed, labeled, and staged for shipment. Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to verify that all items are ready and meet quality standards before shipping. Collaborate with internal departments including but not limited to accounting, project management, technical support, and field installation/service. Communicate with freight carriers (LTL, FTL, parcel) to arrange and track shipments. Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory management systems accordingly. Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, damage, and completeness. Work with customer service and logistics teams to resolve shipment issues or delays. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies. Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to organize shipments and load trucks as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Travel Demands: None. Qualifications and Requirements: Strong understanding of shipping procedures, freight classifications, and documentation. Familiarity with LTL, FTL, and parcel shipping (UPS, FedEx, etc.). Experience using shipping software and ERP systems. Basic computer knowledge, including printing documents. Strong basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to convert decimals to fractions and read a tape measure to 1/16”. Basic reading and writing proficiency. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Strong communication and problem-solving skills including prioritizing duties. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment preferred.
