Essential Functions

  • Provides direct administrative and operational support to daily work of department leaders and staff to include:
    • Effective meeting scheduling and management including calendar and time management.
    • Organization of meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and other materials.
    • Assisting with telephone, correspondence, and other communications.
    • Preparing documents, reports, and presentations as requested in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
  • Coordinates operational and special projects with internal and external customers
  • Serves as a liaison to the department while providing administrative support for department initiatives to achieve department goals and increase efficiency

  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications

Qualifications Education

  • High School Equivalent / GED . Required and
  • Associate's Degree or 2 years of college level education Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ years administrative and/or department work experience Required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability. Required
  • Notable inward and outward facing service, communication and relationship building skills Required
  • Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment Required
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Required
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed Required
  • Must have excellent organization skills with attention to detail. Required
  • Ability to coordinate work with minimal supervision on project specific tasks. Required
  • Ability to meet deadlines. Required
  • Ability to exercise good judgment on confidential matters. Required
  • Exhibits flexibility and ability to change priority as needed. Required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint and general office equipment Required
  • Oracle/SSI Markview experience Preferred
  • Organizational management of multiple calendars and scheduling. Required
  • Demonstrated ability to use GPS system at level of Learning Administrator Required
