Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with compliance and reporting requirements. Success in this role demands a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the capacity to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy, including job costing and inventory processing
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare schedules and reports to support financial statement preparation
• Provide documentation and analysis to support audit request
• Assist with compliance reporting, tax filings and other regulatory requirements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Contribute recommendations to improve financial processes and efficiency
• Complete ad-hoq reporting and analysis as assigned

• Work effectively in a team environment and provide support to colleagues and supervisors as needed
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with co-workers, supervisors, and external stakeholders
• Adhere to company policies and safety practices
• Comply with GAAP standards and applicable regulations
• Regular and reliable attendance is required
• Limited travel and ability to work evenings or weekends during peak periods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• Proven experience in accounting or related financial role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook); experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively by phone and in person
• Regular use of computer systems for accounting, reporting and communication
