Job Summary:

The Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University is committed to preparing pharmacists for the ever-changing landscape of healthcare. Hired individuals will have the responsibility to contribute to the college’s mission of scholarship through collaborative, practice-based research and advancement of the profession. Faculty members will develop meaningful relationships with students through academic, career, and personal advising. All faculty members contribute to Department, College, and University functions through active participation on committees and other activities of the institution.

Scope:

Ohio Northern University is seeking a 12-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Professor of Pharmacy Practice. Position rank commensurate with experience.


Applicants with a PharmD degree with additional training or education in drug information and/or public health are invited to apply. Candidates with experience in collaborating with local or state health departments or associations on pharmacist-based initiatives and/or educating the public on the safe and effective use of medications are strongly encouraged to apply. A track record of professional leadership is desirable.

Principal Responsibilities

This position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the PharmD program that include classroom and experiential instruction based on the hired individual’s background. The environment is rich for research in an atmosphere that encourages student engagement in scholarship.

Required Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required, as is experience or interest in innovative teaching methodologies. The candidate must have a commitment to the holistic development of students. A willingness and potential to contribute to the research and service missions of the college and university are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, completed by August 2025, with additional training or education in drug information and/or public health. Candidates with experience in collaborating with local or state health departments or associations on pharmacist-based initiatives and/or educating the public on the safe and effective use of medications are strongly encouraged to apply. A track record of professional leadership is also desirable.

The individual must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Ohio.
