Adjunct Professor of Education Intervention Specialist

Hiram College invites applicants for a part-time adjunct faculty position in Education with specific focus on Intervention Specialist Licensure beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year .

Education is situated in the School of Health, Education, Sustainability, and Society, alongside programs such as nursing, sociology, crime, law and justice, psychology, integrative exercise science, environmental studies, and public health.

Hiram College, established in 1850 as the Western Reserve Eclectic Institute, is a nationally respected private residential liberal arts college located 30 miles from Cleveland in the historic Western Reserve region of Ohio. At Hiram, close student-faculty interaction and innovation are central to the academic experience. The College's distinctive academic calendar, the Hiram Plan, offers students the opportunity each semester to participate in a three-week intensive course, study abroad/away program, internship, or research experience.

The successful candidate will teach Intervention Specialist Licensure coursework and science licensure courses , as well as selected foundational courses for the Education program in both Teacher Licensure and Hiram's innovative Educational Studies major and minor, as needed. Teaching assignments will be based on program needs and candidate expertise.

A current teaching license in Intervention Specialist is required. Experience teaching science is preferred.
