Part-Time Faculty position in Studio Art
The Department of Art & Design at Muskingum University invites applications for a one-year, part-time teaching appointment in studio art, which will begin on August 1, 2025.
We seek an enthusiastic educator who will share a passion for art within the core undergraduate curriculum while providing skill development for Art majors and minors. Primary teaching responsibilities will include courses in drawing and painting. In addition to teaching, the position offers an opportunity to curate and oversee the university's gallery space, which hosts student, faculty, and visiting artist exhibitions. Experience with curatorial practice or gallery management is preferred but not required.
Advanced competence in 2D mediums is a position requirement. A Master of Fine Arts degree or Master's degree in art education is preferred, as is successful prior teaching at the undergraduate or high school level. Applicants who do not have a master's degree but who have pertinent experience will be considered.
