Resume Deadline: Until Filled MISSION CONTRIBUTION: Work performed supports the mission of "securing the future for Ohio's police and firefighters" by ensuring the performance of OP&F's systems and information infrastructure. As a result, information and systems used to process police and fire members' benefits and to run OP&F operations are guarded for confidentiality, integrity, and availability. SUMMARY: The Security and Network Administrator, Associate monitors the network and computer system environment, responds to network and system security alerts, assists with end user training and maintaining software and hardware documentation, and works with IT department teams to ensure that systems and networks are managed securely. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
- Monitor the network and computer system environment for security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and respond to system and network alerts.
- Assist with network security and hardware maintenance.
- Assist with user security training and awareness campaigns.
- Maintain industry standard software and hardware installation/configuration procedures and documentation.
- Maintain proficiency in all software required for the position.
- Comply with policies and procedures and recommend changes for approval as needed.
- Work with all OP&F staff, departments, and divisions to deliver high quality service.

Bachelor’s (B.A.) or Associate’s (A.A) or technical certificate and two or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of firewalls, switches, load balancing, wireless access points, desktop and server operating systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft’s enterprise technology platforms, including Azure, Active Directory and Office 365.
CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certification preferred. Language Skills:
Ability to listen and communicate clearly. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write business correspondence, reports, and procedures. Office Software Skills:
Ability to use word processing software and advanced features of spreadsheet software. Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, ratios, percentages, and other calculations specific to this position. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Reasoning Ability:
