Job Description

Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Machine Assembler to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Machine Assembler you will Build machines, equipment and their subassemblies and following the mechanical layout and the general assembly layouts and other written and verbal specification.

Work You’ll Do:

• Read, comprehend, and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Wire barrel and screw cooling trays, panels, motors, heater bands, and other subassemblies to machine.
• Set the department / area standards in housekeeping, attendance, and teamwork by example.
• Communicate any discrepancies or errors on prints, materials list etc.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Recognize problems during assembly, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
• Produce quality work in a time frame that meets the expectation of the Team/Group Leads.
• Complete Lockout / Tag out training using all required items when performing Lockout.
• Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.

Team:

This role will be part of the Injection Main Assembly team.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma with 3 to 5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
• Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress / emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Recognize problems with electrical designs and parts, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
• Recommend improvements for work area, products, and processes.
