- Experience with Cloud/Azure implementations and architecture.
- Experience working on point-of-sale, fuel, self-checkout, or payment systems.
- 3+ years of experience working on high-volume, internet-scale solutions.
- Proven delivery of scalable, microservices-based architectures.
- Experience developing and/or architecting public cloud-hosted backend services.
- Knowledge of technology to support omnichannel experiences.
- Proven knowledge of service-oriented architecture/Cloud.
- Expertise in data privacy, encryption, PCI compliance, etc.
- Proficiency in design patterns and architectural principles for timely delivery of quality solutions.
- Experience with tools such as PlantUML (PUML) for C4 Modeling, Draw.io, and Structurizr.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation/public speaking communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and mentor an inclusive, team-based environment.
- Proven knowledge of industry trends and competition.
- Participate in the application technical design process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product management, infrastructure, security, and architects, to align on solution integrations and direction.
- Work with third-party providers on proper solution design and implementation.
- Complete estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks.
- Create and maintain technical system documentation throughout all phases of the SDLC.
- Communicate timely updates, including potential risks or issues, to ensure managed releases and high-quality deliverables.
- Support and maintain applications using required tools and technologies.
- Build partnerships across the application, business, and infrastructure teams.
