Job Title: Transmission & Supply Chain Planner (Utilities)

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract initially

Position Overview

This position reports to the Power Grid Operations (PGO) organization and supports construction and maintenance activities for substation and transmission line assets.

The Planner is responsible for coordinating activities related to materials procurement, availability, and delivery for transmission voltage-class projects. This role serves as a key point of contact for resolving material constraints that could impact project schedules and execution.

The position requires regular coordination with stakeholders across PGO, Supply Chain, and material vendors, and is geographically assigned to support projects in the Ohio and Kentucky areas of the Midwest Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate material planning and delivery activities for transmission and substation projects.
• Engage with Power Grid Operations, Supply Chain teams, and vendors to ensure material availability.
• Identify and resolve material constraints that may impact project timelines.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for material-related issues within the assigned geographic region.
• Support construction and maintenance activities by ensuring materials are procured and delivered in alignment with project needs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of material acquisition, logistics, and delivery processes.
• Understanding of Supply Chain and Transmission operations.
• Utility industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Maximo.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Schedule: Full-time
• Hybrid Schedule: 3 days per week in office
• Travel:
• Quarterly field/site visits
• Day travel only; no overnight travel required
• Personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursed
• Additional Details
• Overtime: Possible, estimated up to 4 hours per week (pending manager approval)
• Business Expenses: Mileage reimbursed
• Primary Site Location: Cincinnati, OH
• Coverage Area: Ohio and Kentucky (Midwest Region)

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
