We are adding an Outreach Specialist at our Columbus headquarters to support our deal teams. You'll get direct, hands-on exposure to the buy-side M&A process — no finance background required. If you're self-motivated with strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills, you'll thrive here. The Outreach Specialist is often the first person to represent Copper Run to a prospect — a high-visibility role that sets the tone for every deal that follows.

This is an in-office position, located in our Columbus office.

What You Will Do

• Source and originate connections and target companies for leading private equity firms and strategic acquirers through phone and email outreach
• Partner with deal teams to build scripts and outreach strategies that resonate with business owners
• Warm-call, cold-call, and email prospects from provided lists to qualify targets for a Copper Run introductory meeting
• Research and vet leads against our CRM to flag existing clients, targets, or prospects
• Track and document every interaction in the CRM

What You’ll Need

• 0-3 years of phone-based lead generation, inside sales, SDR/BDR, or related internship experience
• Comfort and confidence with cold-calling and outbound sales
• Bachelor's degree in business preferred, not required
• Outstanding communication and phone presence
• Strong internet research skills
• Ability to handle objections and keep prospects moving to the next step
• Sharp, quick thinking under pressure
