Company Overview:

Our client is a multi billion dollar global manufacturer in the rubber industry. They are experiencing tremendous growth and are looking for an experienced Controller to improve efficiencies within the organization.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team and oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost accounting, inventory management, financial analysis, and financial reporting, with a proven track record of success in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial operations of the manufacturing facility, including cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Develop and maintain the plant budget and monitor plant spending to ensure compliance with the budget
• Analyze production costs and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions and provide insight into plant performance
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and engineering, to optimize plant operations and profitability
• Manage the plant accounting team and provide guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred or MBA
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and techniques, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
