Industrial Engineer

Job Title: Industrial Engineer (Will Start as a 6M contract, could be extended) We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer to help implement Lean frameworks and drive process improvements across our manufacturing operations. This role requires someone who can analyze workflows, conduct time studies, and develop practical solutions that enhance plant efficiency. Responsibilities + Lead Lean initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and 5S. + Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows. + Optimize plant layouts for enhanced flow and productivity. + Collaborate with teams to implement engineering solutions. + Support the rollout of operational frameworks and track improvements. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with at least 2 years of experience, or over 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering without a degree. + Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodologies. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, statistical trending, and data analysis. + Experience with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Root Cause Analysis. + Proficiency in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and control plans. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in electronic or electrical systems. + Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and audits. + Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. + Relevant certifications. Work Environment This position is fully onsite in a very clean manufacturing environment with attached office cubicles. The company is in the process of expanding the existing plant, with an expected completion in 2026. The role is very hands-on and requires a proactive problem solver rather than a consultant. The biggest plant is located in Streetsboro, with a total of three plants: one fabrication and two assembly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of streetsboro, OH.
