Assemblers, Kitters and Fabricators, Light
Job Summary
The Production Associate is responsible for assembling and producing automotive interior components, including headliners and car door parts. This role involves hands-on assembly, machine operation, inspection, and material handling in a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble automotive headliners and car door components
· Lift and remove headliners, car door foam inserts, and shells from machines
· Tape and glue wiring and foam components according to work instructions
· Cut sunroof access openings in foam materials
· Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
· Stack and organize completed products for further processing or shipment
· Operate basic production machinery, including pressing buttons to apply foam and hanging core pieces on racks
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
Tools & Equipment
· Production and gluing machines
· Racks and fixtures for hanging and stacking parts
· Basic hand tools used in assembly and inspection processes
Physical Requirements
· Standing and walking for most of the shift
· Frequent lifting, carrying, handling, and reaching
· Repetitive motions and hand-eye coordination required
· Ability to perform light to medium physical work consistently
Work Environment
· Indoor manufacturing facility
· Clean, organized, and temperature-controlled environment
· Low noise levels and minimal exposure to hazards
