Skilled Finish Carpenter

The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) is looking for a talented finish carpenter with a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial carpentry, particularly in finish work. This is a full-time, long-term position .

At our facility, you'll work with cutting-edge equipment on meaningful projects that contribute to the preservation of our nation's architectural heritage. Occasional travel to out-of-state job sites and working in various outdoor conditions may be required. Prior experience in historic restoration is highly valued.

We self-perform a wide range of trades including masonry, roofing, architectural metals, painting, and carpentry. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and protect work areas according to project standards
• Execute precise, high-quality carpentry work with minimal supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Interpret shop drawings and specifications to produce restoration-grade carpentry assemblies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and stay focused on tasks
• Proficient in using finish carpentry tools including saws, drills, routers, planers, nail guns, and compressors
• Skilled in operating woodworking machinery such as jointers, planers, lathes, sanders, and table saws
• Familiarity with common wood species used in finish carpentry
• Precision in measuring, cutting, and fitting millwork to within 1/32”–1/16” accuracy
• Competent in using framing and speed squares for angle calculations
• Ability to cut and cope miters for millwork installation
• Capable of installing finish-grade millwork that is level, square, and true
• Experience with layout and installation of casing, baseboards, crown molding, cornices, staircases, and other finish carpentry elements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for layout and dimensions
• OSHA 10 certification required before starting
• Must be able to pass a federal security clearance
