Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Avon, Ohio 44011 (Cleveland area nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Rehabilitation Hospital – Med/Surg Unit
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel/Contract RN position)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,640 - $1,680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (required for Ohio nursing jobs)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience in Med/Surg or rehabilitation hospital settings highly desired

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital and nursing standards
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and support patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from the day of admission
• Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all clinical safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to a positive work environment
