Job Title: CAD/CAM Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will program CNC equipment using Mastercam and utilize 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks. You will interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications, develop machining processes, and create tool paths from raw materials to finished parts.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC equipment using Mastercam.
• Utilize 3D CAD software for modeling and design.
• Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Develop machining processes and create tool paths.
• Handle parts with up to 300 dimensions, ensuring tight tolerances.
• Apply knowledge of milling, turning, and general machining practices.
• Select and optimize cutting tools for various operations.
• Continuously improve programs to reduce scrap and rework.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support NPI efforts.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Mastercam.
• Experience in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, and tool path creation.
• Ability to interpret 2D blueprints and 3D models.
• Experience in precision machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with any 3D modeling CAD package.
• Familiarity with machining environments, including mills, lathes, and turning machines.
• Experience in machining metal parts with multiple dimensions.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and aerospace applications.

Work Environment

This role requires an even split between the manufacturing floor and a computer/desk. The shop is equipped with a range of capital equipment, primarily CNC machines. You will be involved in precision machining and customizing machined parts, performing offline programming, and validating and testing G-Code on the manufacturing floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $43.00/hr.
