Tax Manager

Position Title: Tax Manager 
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio – Anderson Township 
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually (based on experience) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax engagements, review complex returns, manage client relationships, and provide proactive tax planning strategies. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) with a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a client-focused, deadline-driven environment. 
This role requires the ability to manage a book of clients with minimal supervisionwhile ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
  

• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to clients.
  

• Manage a portfolio of clients independently, ensuring excellent service and timely deliverables.
  

• Lead tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
  

• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff.
  

• Research complex tax issues and present solutions to clients and internal teams.
  

• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
  

• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate changes to clients.
  

Qualifications:

• CPA or EA license required (active and in good standing).
  

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
  

• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, compliance, and planning.
  

• Proven ability to manage a client book independently with minimal supervision.
  

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  

• Proficiency in tax preparation and research software (e.g., Drake, CCH, ProSystem, UltraTax, or similar).
