3rd Shift Pallet Rotator - Full Time

Distribution Center Address: 4980 Gateway Blvd. | Springfield, Ohio

Transfers Gordon Food Service (GFS) palletized goods from bad pallets to good pallets and places onto the pallet conveyor.

OR

Receives GFS goods from delivery trucks and transfers to the receiving area.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday work week with Fridays and Saturdays off

Start Time: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Pay: Starting at $20.13/hour

Essential Functions:

• Uses forklift and pallet inverter machine to transfer product from bad wood to good wood. Removes slip-sheets from all pallets.

• Uses forklift to insert pallet into the pallet conveyor system.

• Uses forklift to sort all empty pallets from the system and place the pallets in designated areas.

• Uses forklifts to help empty the system reject spurs.

• Removes damaged products from the pallets during the tipping process.

• May be required to ensures finished pallets are ready to be placed onto the conveyor; no loose wrap, product is on good wood, pallets are wrapped, and pallet tags can be read by scanners.

• Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.

• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Must be able to communicate clearly in a professional manner.

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.

• Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

• Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

Equipment / Tools / Technology:

• Must be able to operate forklift and understand the basic functions of an RF hand held computer.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• High School / Equivalent preferred.

• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification required.

Minimum Years of Experience:

• None Required, prior experience preferred.
