Job Description
The Warehouse Associate safely operates industrial trucks, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, to load, unload, transport, and stack goods within a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment. This role focuses on material handling, order picking, general labor tasks, and ensuring accurate inventory management and timely preparation of orders for shipping in a 3PL warehouse environment supporting data center operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as reach trucks, to safely load, unload, transport, and stack goods throughout the warehouse.
- Perform daily safety checks and inspections on forklifts and other industrial trucks before and during use to ensure safe operation.
- Handle materials efficiently, including moving pallets, containers, and other goods to designated storage and staging areas.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately according to pick lists or work orders, ensuring correct items, quantities, and labeling.
- Stage, organize, and prepare shipments for outbound transport, including palletizing, wrapping, and securing loads as needed.
- Support inventory management by moving stock to appropriate locations, assisting with cycle counts, and maintaining accurate stock placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards and reporting any hazards or issues promptly.
- Follow all warehouse, safety, and equipment operation procedures, including adherence to traffic patterns and load limits.
- Participate in and successfully complete a forklift test during the first 1–2 days of employment to demonstrate safe and proficient equipment operation.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity goals and ensure timely completion of daily warehouse tasks.
- Perform general labor duties as needed, including manual lifting, sorting, and other warehouse support activities.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to safely operate industrial trucks, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Experience performing safety checks and inspections on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, transporting, and stacking goods.
- Order picking experience, including accurately selecting and preparing items for shipment.
- Ability to support inventory management by moving and organizing stock and assisting with counts as needed.
- Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials.
- Willingness and ability to complete and pass a forklift test within the first 1–2 days of employment.
- Comfort working in a 3PL warehouse environment that supports data center operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Environment in a 3PL (third-party logistics) setting is beneficial.
- Familiarity with shipping preparation processes, including staging, wrapping, and securing pallets.
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to established operating procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment and support changing operational needs.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment that supports a 3PL operation for data centers. You will work around industrial trucks such as sit-down and stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, handling pallets and various materials throughout the facility. Multiple shifts are available, including first shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), second shift (Monday–Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.), third shift (Monday–Friday, 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.), weekend days (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), and weekend nights (Friday–Sunday, 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.), each with associated shift differentials. The work involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating forklifts in a busy warehouse setting, while following all safety and equipment operation guidelines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.75/hr.
