Position Summary

Deburring is a critical final step in hand-finishing machined parts. Responsibilities include removing burrs, raised material, damage and imperfections left by the machining process to ensure safety, functionality and meet customer expectations. Deburring candidates should be detail oriented, neat, able to follow instructions & retain information, work independently and be self-motivated. They are expected to work well under the pressure of restricted timelines without affecting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Job type: On-site.
• Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm (10 hour shifts).
• Overtime: Based on current business needs. Currently 8 hours of overtime are mandatory on Fridays, for a total of 48 hours worked weekly. Further overtime may be available (if requested) on Saturdays.
• Uses hand tools to help finish machined parts on a precision level.
• Uses files to fix/blend damage while maintaining precision quality.
• Records part data on a computer system.
• Communication with other departments to assist production flow.
• Accountable for part quotas while maintaining a high level of quality.
• Responsible for reading, interpreting, and carrying out technical instructions.
• Able to work independently and stay on task.
• Follow all aerospace quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

• Truline is a nicotine and drug-free workplace. Applicants selected for hire will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test. Continued employment is conditioned upon compliance with Trulines nicotine and drug-free workplace policies, including any required testing.
  
• The first 90 days of employment are considered a probationary period. During this time no PTO is accrued, and you have a maximum of 20 unpaid hours (2 full working days) off. Missing more than 20 hours of work during the first 90 days of employment would result in termination. There are no exceptions to this policy.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with sitting at a workstation for 10 hours a day.
• Wearing proper PPE including safety glasses & masks while brushing parts.
• Must be able to work with hand tools.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strict adherence to attendance policies.
• Maintaining proper lead safety.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to be taught and retain detailed information.
• Ability to maintain focus during repetitive work.
• Personal accountability.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a deburring setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with precision hand tools in any industry.
• Ability to multi-task & easily switch from one task to another.

Benefits

• Starting pay rate: $22/hr. Rate will be evaluated over the course of the first 90 days, with further performance-based raises possible in the future.
• 401k matching: Truline will match 100% of contributions up to 10% of an employees pay, eligibility to join the company retirement plan starts on January 1st following the hire date of an employee.
• 100% employer funded healthcare (the company will cover monthly costs and the deductible, but employees will be responsible for some co-payments). Eligibility begins on the first of the month after employment.
• Dental coverage. Eligibility begins on the first of the month after employment.

• Upon completion of the 1st year of employment, employees accrue 120 hours PTO per year, with further increases based on length of employment.
